My Soul Will Glorify The Lord
“My Soul Will Glorify” is an attempt to tell a little piece of Mary’s story interwoven with her own lyrics taken directly from the portion of Luke 1 known as the Magnificat. Mary is fascinating to me. Given her circumstance as a poor young girl now pregnant outside of the bonds of marriage, and an outlandish-sounding explanation to give, I imagine I would feel fear, concern for my own safety and reputation, and a vast number of confliction emotions, yet we see her accept and embrace God’s plan for her with submission, grace, and courage, and her response here is worship. May we all find ourselves responding to God’s call in such a way.
