about

The Lowly Sparrow.
Life is not always easy or fair and I have been amazed by some of the people that I have met on my travels. They seem to have been handed some terrible things in their life and yet they have been the ones with confident strong words of thanks and praise to God. The One who knows about the smallest tragedy, (the death of a sparrow) knows our challenges.
American worship leader, painter and missionary Katie Becker loaned us her voice on this track.

lyrics

The lowly sparrow

The storms of life can take their toll
and we feel beaten down
Beneath the flood of endless tears
So deep that we could drown
For it is sure that pain and hurt
Will visit one and all
So then remember Him who sees the lowly sparrow fall

For each man faces sorrow
And each woman pays the cost
And as we navigate our way
sometimes we all get lost
amidst the joys and blessings
there are times when we must call
upon the name of Him who sees the lowly sparrow fall

“Fear not my child” He cries to us
“I’m with you in this pain
be sure of this a time will come
when you will smile again

For now you see through darkened glass
if you can see at all
Pray for a glimpse of Him who sees the lowly sparrow fall.
